The Bauchi State Government has presented a Toyota Hilux utility vehicle to the Bauchi State Fire Service as part of efforts to strengthen its operations and improve its capacity to respond effectively to emergencies.
The vehicle was presented by the Bauchi State Ministry of Works and Transport to the Director of the Bauchi State Fire Service, Builder Dauda Bala Pali.
Presenting the vehicle, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Engr. Hamisu Mohammed Garba, urged the Fire Service to use it strictly for official duties and ensure that it contributes meaningfully to the effective discharge of its responsibilities.
Engr. Hamisu said the state government had also provided firefighting equipment to selected Local Government Areas across the state as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen fire prevention and emergency response.
In his response, the Director of the Bauchi State Fire Service, Builder Dauda Bala Pali, expressed appreciation to the state government for providing the utility vehicle and for its continued support to the service.
He said the vehicle would complement the day-to-day operations of the Fire Service and enhance its ability to respond promptly and effectively to emergencies across the state.
Builder Bala Pali assured the ministry that the vehicle would be properly maintained and used strictly for the purpose for which it was provided.
He further commended the Bauchi State Government for its continued commitment to improving the capacity, effectiveness and overall operations of the State Fire Service.
